Disco Assassins are Richard Scott and Jeff Ginsburgh. They have been Djing and producing together since 1998. Both have a wide range of musical tastes making their style very unique & eclectic. Their music has been released on labels Kingsize, Supercharged, Against The Grain & Mobil Home and has been supported by DJs such as Andrew Weatherall, Paul Daley, James Zabeila, Arthur Baker, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Meat Katie & Krafty Kuts. Their first release `Hook you up` also featured on the Plump DJs compilation `Urban Underground` and the B side `Stoned` was included on James Zabelia`s compilation on Groovetech. `Visions of you` featured on the Kingsize compilation `Seismic Sounds` mixed by Meat Katie whilst their third release `Step Inside` featured on Supercharged `Heavyweight Breaks 2` compilation. `Step Inside` was also used on the BBC TV documentary series `New Tycoons` as the title music. The Disco Assassins have established themselves as DJs and over the past 10 years have played alongside Basement Jaxx, Jazzy B (Soul II Soul), DJ Mex (Black Grass), Plump DJs, Lee Coombs, Meat Katie & Krafty Kuts, with regular gigs in France & London. They have many different types of set but are happiest playing the longer 2-3 hour slots in which they showcase their broad spectrum of influences from 70`s funk to cutting edge electronic madness. They are both involved in music projects outside of Disco Assassins with Richard continuing to manage Airtight Studios (Chichester) whilst Jeff is busy promoting his record label Ctrl-Alt-Del (London) which currently showcases the French rock pioneers Nelson, Sourya and Brooklyn. Rich & Jeff have always be regarded as `chalk & cheese` which has moulded their unique sound. With many tracks constantly in progress they are often criticised for not releasing more or for taking too long to finish their music but their attitude is simple. `We only want to make quality timeless music. We are not in to flinging a tune out just to catch the latest craze or fashion`.
